Settings:
If you have a 144 Hz monitor, you may want to set the framerate to 72fps in settings. Similarly, if you have a 75 Hz monitor, set it to 75 fps. Otherwise, just leave it at 60 fps.
By default, when you fullscreen, it puts a black bar on only the left side of the screen as that gives more space for Mouse to put her VTuber avatar without covering up the game. Everyone else may prefer to change Borders to Both, which centers it instead.
Technical Details:
This game was created in C++ compiled to WebASM. It doesn't use any existing game engine, and only uses the base emscripten library plus the SDL2 port, which means its small, very quick to load, and very easy to compile yourself. You can see the source code here. Building on Linux is extremely easy. You can probably build it on Windows too, though you'll have to either manually run the steps in the Makefile or find something that can run makefiles on Windows.
Attribution:
All game source code was made by me from scratch.
The Ironmouse player character was traced by me from Ironmouse's Smol Gremlin Pink Rock model by Kerwoe (a.k.a. Lae-Dee)
The bell icon indicating remaining lives was taken from Ironmouse's Decora model by Nanoless
Main menu music is Demon Queen Paradise (Music Box) by Daryl Vanessa Barnes
Victory end screen music is Super Sayton by Daryl Vanessa Barnes
Gameplay background music is an arrangement/remix of First Steps by Lena Raine that was transcribed into sheet music by MuseScore user PickPig, then simplified and converted into an N64 music sequence by me and re-synthesized using one of the SM64 sound fonts.
The end screen background is a blurred version of one of Ironmouse's stream backgrounds made by UWU MEDIA.
